| when entering text in open text fields, it would help to go faster if we could make ctrl-enter instead of clicking on "ok" to record changes made in fields

This is a good suggestion. At this point, I am not adding any new features in case of causing a bug. Last time I touched the code handling the Escape key, I intoduced a bug. I noted this in my "todo" list.
