Does anyone have any suggestions on how to create a family tree book? I don't want to post the family information online - I prefer old school (paper). Plus, I want to make a keepsake for my boys to pass onto their children one day.

1. How do I make in index and organize the book contents? What format is best?
2. How should I print it (so that it will last)?
3. Any examples on the web that are good?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

S.

Since the present reports in GenoPro are web oriented (html) and the announced book style report from Ron is work in progress(I suppose), you may have to use some other software packages (some are mentioned in this forum), by using the export function from the report generator dialog box (Export to Gedcom).
Some programs give you the possibility to make analysis and statistic diagrams, others are more oriented to a pure narrative reporting style with no possibility to change the layout and others will give you pure lists of ancestors and or descendants.
Some of these programs are free to use, for others you may have to pay after a trial period.
And then there is of course the possibility to try your hands on creating your own by using GenoPros instructions. This is not an overnight task.
