| If you can post on this forum and publish to http://familytrees.genopro.com using the same username and password. You don't need a new username or password for publishing online, performing a backup or sending a file to another user. Your username can be either your nick name such as "Alfi" or your email address. Your password can be recover from the lost password page or changed in your control panel.

| After I publish my report, I would like it to be visible in Google so any relative can find it. At the same time, I want all sensitive data to be protected. At least for living people! For instance, only people with e-mail adress entered in my report can see all data within that report or something similar. (Or they need to contact me for a password). Is it possible? Another question: If some of them chooses to become paying customer, can we share my report so they can update it, too?

Sanja (5/29/2008) After I publish my report, I would like it to be visible in Google so any relative can find it. A public report at http://familytrees.genopro.com/ will automatically be indexed by Google and other search engines. It may take a few days for the result to appear. At the same time, I want all sensitive data to be protected. At least for living people! By default all living people are excluded from a report when publishing to http://familytrees.genopro.com/. You can re-enable this by removing the check from the checkbox Remove All Living Individuals http://www.genopro.com/help/report-generator/#Privacy-Filter. Of course this is not the ideal solution, but it is a fail-safe to avoid accidental leak of sensitive data. For instance, only people with e-mail adress entered in my report can see all data within that report or something similar. (Or they need to contact me for a password). Is it possible? Visit our new control panel at http://collaboration.genopro.com/Account.aspx and open the section Online publications and click on Edit. You will be able to change the properties of your publication including protecting your report with a password. Note however a password-protected report is not indexed by search engines. Another question: If some of them chooses to become paying customer, can we share my report so they can update it, too? Yes. At the moment, it is a bit difficult to have multiple individuals working on the same family tree. We are developing on a collaboration module for that purpose. This morning I was writing the code to invite other users to join the collaboration project.
