Deleting unwanted table entries

As a result of obtaining new or updated information a number of unwanted entries have accumulated in my Places/Locations table. There is no menu entry or toolbar button to delete an entry and nothing on the menu produced by a right mouse click.

How do I delete these entries?

Use the Delete menu.
