| I agree with the sentiment. I looked for a long time before I found GenoPro V1.91 and bought it. It did almost what I wanted. Much more that other family tree makers, and using a GUI which was what I wanted. Now heading to V2, it still does almost what I want. Amazing how our wants change. Congratulations to Dan and all the other developers on this project. A special thanks to Ron for his contribution (Report generator) and miracles he performed (Ancestor Pedigree Chart and the Google Maps I just discovered). I realize that people have asked for these features but it took Ron to implement them. Hope that development towards V3 will take a similar format of betas. Thanks to all. Frank1

Serge and Frank1 have eloquently expressed how my experience has been with Genopro, and it's many contributors and developers. Well done, and I look forward to enjoying the fruits of your endeavours in the years to come.

| This weekend I will remove the word "Beta" from the product. You should see GenoPro 2.0 coming out next week. GenoPro development does not end at the release of GenoPro 2.0. The release of GenoPro 2.0 is just a milestone of having a stable product for our users. There are many customers, from schools to corporations, waiting for a stable version of GenoPro to rely upon. Most people refuse to download and install Beta software, and I understand them. We will have betas of GenoPro 3.0, the same as we provided Betas of GenoPro 2.0. Those betas will be more stable than the 2.0 betas because we will add features to an already stable product. No more messy file format changes or renaming of tags. All tags from GenoPro 2.0 will be fully honored by future versions of GenoPro.

| Can I start personalizing my skin or should I wait a little longer ? Another question, After the release of GenoPro 2.0 which , I understand was included in our original subscription, will we be required to pay again in order to continue with the Beta 3s, and if so , how much ?

| 4 years ago, originaly i want a simple software for genealogy tree where i could put the relation and some photos. And then i discovered a great software, and then i saw also a task force with a peculiar characterist (i'am a system analist too); many user suggestions were considered and a genealogy software became practically an universal software for life story of all individuals, and could be used for unlimited purposed. Dan, Jean Claude, Ron and anothers developers, and all the contributors for the Genopro 2.0, from Paraguay- South America . Congratulations !!.

| Well Dan, I took the plunge and personalised my custom skin with great results. I noticed that the default image is missing for when there is no photo so I copied the code from the old to the new "Individual htm" and it worked fine. The only thing is that I can't do the same to the "Family htm" as the code was never written as far as I remember. This is the last thing that I would appreciate as it makes the page look fuller for my taste. Could Ron come up with the code to do this? By the way I would like to echo the comments by Yehudad below as I am sure that many are very grateful to Dan and Ron. Don't blush too much you two !

| I would like to also congratulate you on a terrific final product. I have been working on my family tree for about 8 years, using GenoPro from its very early stages but I did not purchase it until I explored most of the other products available. These were supposed to be more "sophisticated" and advanced, promising the world but not quite meeting my expectations. At the end I always came back to GenoPro. Why? I felt that the team working on it were dedicated, responded to changes and suggestions and not just in it for financial rewards. Thank you for making my research easier and more enjoyable.

| I also would like to congratulate everyone involved in the improvements over the past upgrades. Well done! I have also just discovered the google maps which is rather exciting. I am wondering if these are still in the trial stages, as I can only link to a couple of places on my tree. Or is there somewhere within the programme (that is not too technical) where I can add the links to other places on my tree. Thanks Helen
“Family is the first social unit for developing the qualities of the heart. A true family grows and moves through life together, inseparable in the heart. Whether a biological family or an extended family of people attracted to each other based on heart resonance and mutual support, the word "family" implies warmth, a place where the core feelings of the heart are nurtured. Family values represent the core values and guidelines that parents and family members hold in high regard for the well-being of the family. Sincere family feelings are core heart feelings. They are the basis for true family values. While we have differences, we remain "family" by virtue of our heart connection. Family provides necessary security and support, and acts as a buffer against external problems. A family made up of secure people generates a magnetic power that can get things done. They are the hope for real security in a stressful world”.

GenoPro is about to remove the Beta status, ie what you see is what you will get. Google Maps is a built in feature of the Report Generator and in many cases you do not have to do anything, apart from enter the names of places. The Google procedure will then locate the place.
There seems to be some difficulty with locating places in the UK, in which case you may need to add location information yourself. When you add a location/place Ctrl+E (or right click to get sub menu) takes you to an edit page where you can enter Latitude & Longitude. For the UK Streetmap.co.uk is a good source for this; it also includes a conversion routine from degrees to decimal. The decimal seem to be preferable

The beta word have been overused by this version, I think we will stick to another name to avoid confusion.

Alfi (12/10/2006)
BTW, after Beta2 comes Beta3 or Gamma2 ? The word "Beta" has been so used that it will remain for GenoPro 2.0. We need to find a new name for future betas... Gamma sounds cool indeed.

| Even if it was half a joke, that's exactly what I did psychologically mean indeed, because: Beta = 2 (it fits 2.00) Gamma = 3 (it fits 3.00)
