Hello,

I have turned off Google Maps by select 'N' for GoogleMaps tag.

I have a web server on my computer, but sometimes I generate the report at another location and copy the created files onto the computer that has the web server. Each time I log into my web server and family tree I get a popup stating that the Google Map API is for another computer (which I know) and that I can obtain another key for free.

Since I don't use the Google maps can anyone tell me which other tag I need to set to turn off this popup each time log into a family tree?

Thanks

Frank1

You will ned to set fGoogleMapsOverview to 'N' as well, either via Custom Tag, Config.xml or Config Params dialog. This creates the Overview Google Map on the Home page and will cause Google code to be loaded, even if there are no geocoded places in your report.

Thank you Ron, that works fine.

However, my family may wish to include Google Maps in the trees in the future. I have a web server on my computer. I have signed up for a URL redirection service where the url is a much simpler (www.xxx.yyy.com) than using my IP Address. When I request a Google Map API key, which address do I have to supply, the URL or the actual IP address of my home computer?

Thanks

I assume that it is the IP address not the rediction name.

Since I don't use the standard port 80, do I have to also supply the port address with the IP Address like 128.9.0.3:2000?
